Rafael Tacaki is a classically trained pianist with a rich international background and a lifelong dedication to music, having begun his studies at the age of seven. Originally from Brazil, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná.

He later continued his advanced studies in the United States at Sam Houston State University and completed his Master of Music at the University of Massachusetts.

Throughout his musical journey, Rafael has received several prizes and honors, and has participated in numerous music festivals, workshops, and artistic collaborations. He has also gained valuable professional experience through collaborations with institutions such as the Houston Grand Opera. A highly dedicated piano teacher, he emphasizes the development of strong technique and refined artistry in his students. He currently serves as Music Director at Fair Haven Houston, where he shares his passion for music through leadership, performance, and community engagement.
